Corrupted flash chip

Postby torquemasterice » Tue Feb 23, 2010 3:15 am

Hi. Been a long time since i was online here!!

Anyways, i have this old 8gb Kingston data traveler. It was unplugged while data was being transferred to it and it didn't work afterwords. I wanted to see if i could fix it now. It allows me to try and format, but the progress bar remains at 0 even after like 5mins. It also shows the capacity as 4056mb although its 8gb, thus i am guessing the flash chip has been corrupted. Is there any way i can at least make use of the 4gb?
